The World According to ME

Hello, people who may be reading this. i am back again with another segment of The Ridiculousness Of Life. I am again writing from a train, but this time i am going back home to London from uni, (First class, cause you know how i do).

Any way this time i will be going in on musicians I like to call “singles artists” and the queen of all singles artists Miss Rihanna. No to me a singles artist is some one who has the ability to sell singles well but for some reason can’t duplicate the magic formula when it comes to selling albums. when it comes to being a singer or rapper or whatever type of musician you are, i think it’s good to sell singles because that gets your name out there and puts you in peoples minds, but you must also be able to do the same with albums because that means that people respect you and love you enough to buy a full collection of your work, not just the little snippet you put out last week. A major example of this is rihanna, now don’t get me wrong she is a cool person, her personality seems really good and she looks like she would be someone you would want to hang out with but, honey is not that great. She can’t really sing, (i have heard her live, it is a damn shame), she is from the bloddy Caribbean and can’t dance, she always looks so stiff and yet she sells singles like no tomorrow. I think the reason for this is, her singles get played so much it gets in everyone’s head so it’s like you have to buy it, then her management and the people behind her do there job really well because they promote the hell out of her, then the production on her songs are hot, because when it comes to her songs i don’t hear my self saying “her vocals are banging on this song” like i would with a beyonce song or a Mariah song i always say, “the beat on this song is hard”. It’s because of this i think her albums don’t sell people know it will be shit and its true, the singles that she puts out are cool, but as a whole it is so bad, this explains her lack of Number 1 Albums. Now people try to say “it does not matter that she doesn’t sell albums”, theses people are stupid, IT DOES MATTER. To be a lasting presence you need to be a good stage performer (which she is not), a great singer (which she is not), and be able to sell ALBUMS (which she can not). 

However people then say, “what about katy perry”, i would say WHAT ABOUT HER, she may be like rihanna in a lot of ways but at least her albums go to number 1. What ever katy is doing rihanna needs to learn.

But the good thing is she is learning, her new single, Where have you been, has her actually dancing and not jumping around like a psycho, she still looks proper stiff but at least she is learning so i will give it to her. Next she has to prove she can sell albums then she can be on her way to being on top, cause until she can do that Bitch is not going anywhere. 

Also for those people who say “But she has grammy’s, that proves she great”. Sit the Frack Down. She did not win no damn grammy she only got them because she featured on tracks that got grammys, she did no actual work to earn them properly. If she would have won them by herself then this would be different but SHE DID NOT.
